I still barely watch or listen to anything news-related (because of my heart stuff), and I even heard that there was some uproar related to a Sydney Sweeney ad. After seeing the ad, I still had to ask my daughter who Sydney Sweeney is and what the problem was. You're totally right, it's more of the same shit that makes people run from the Left--normally, I can at least see where people are coming from, but this is seriously ridiculous. Anyway, this was another great interview (as always). I hope you're doing well! 🧡
As far as Dem voters and Biden, we had nowhere near the kind of faith in Biden or Harris that MAGA had in Trump. I was glad that the people had rallied and voted Trump out in 2020 but I believed Biden would have the sense not to try again. When he announced he was running and there weren’t going to be any primaries I knew he had just handed Trump the election in a gift wrapped box. Despair set in for me that spring as it became obvious that Biden was not in good shape and had no business being a presidential candidate at all. The only thing standing between us and the Heritage Foundation becoming America’s Politburo was Joe Biden mumbling something vague about “democracy” while people kept asking, “How ‘bout Hunter’s laptop?” Having Harris take Biden’s place at the last minute was too little too late. One of the signs of hope I had and still have is that Harris tightened the numbers significantly enough to give Trump a run for his money. That means there was a significant number of voters who were not okay with what Trump stands for and there are certainly many more now.
I used to listen to you what now seems a long time ago, on TYT in (I think) 2016, when you always were in conversation with Cenk. I stopped at some point when TYT "improved" their website to what was for me a much more confusing form . Then came back to listening to you in the past couple of years. I just want to give my perspective that I had about you as a journalist. At that earlier time I very much found both your and Cenk's perspective much more accurate than most other media people-- but found that occasionally when you and Cenk disagreed-- I usually found your view to be the one I found most cogent and honest. One funny example: when Newsom declared his candidacy for California governor-- Cenk was good with it, but to my suprise, you were aghast-- which was also my own view! Not even sure now why I agreed with you! But for some reason it seemed right to me, and I judged you quite highly that you didn't just hit the ball into the "correct" left field.
Then recently you have expressed the view that you had gotten off the track-- but that during years that I had hardly listened to you at all. I want to reassure you, if if you have in fact come back from a too predictable, left safe point of view--you've have gone back to where or originally were and should be. I'm highly respectful--and just want to say that if you did "realign" you have my respect--maybe even more if we do sometimes disagree. If I do disagree, I may explain why, but it will be easy to be with high respect for you.
Ralph, welcome! And thank you so much for sharing your point of view and thoughts with me. I'm looking forward to reading more of your thoughts moving forward! And it's fantastic that you could see Newsom for what he was early on. I hope others catch on.
Sydney Sweeney's jeans ad did the one thing ads are supposed to do - be noticed by as many people as possible. Controversy works well in this regard! Excellent interview Ana, Ahmed is really good at what he does.
Ana…been waiting a LONNNNG time to let you know that “We the People” Love you for being one of the true PEOPLE’S CHAMPIONS and a vicious pitbull when it comes to promoting Truth and Integrity…DON’T EVER STOP
